Such a nice hike in the wall eatery! I'm not in Elmhurst often but I came here for a dinner with friends and was not disappointed. It's a small area so please give your grace and patience to the staff as they are constantly busy trying to get people their food and accommodate seating. The wait won't be too long either!
I had the Roti, Beef Rendang, Clams in Black Bean Sauce, Malaysian Popiah (not pictured), and a delicious chicken dish that I cannot remember the name of unfortunately.
It was my first time having roti and I can see why it's such a popular item. I loved how tender the beef Rendang was and it was very warm and filling for the soul in my opinion.
I definitely want to come back here to try more food!
Saw a YouTube video and was excited to try. Wait about 20 minutes for dinner on a Saturday night. Not a big restaurant. Servers are nice, enough patience, not like other busy restaurants.
Over all the food wasn't as good as we expected, a summery would be most of the dishes didn't have enough flavor. (Or maybe we were too hyped over the video). Some stuff also ran out (we end up getting pork satay which was dry). But combing with price and everything a four star would be fair.
The service was great, foods are always good. Price is cheap. If you've been to Malaysia, this is as good as it can be.

I love a good curry noodle soup and this spot definitely delivered. It will be one of my go to spots when I'm in need of comfort food for my soul. Definitely will be back to try new things as well.
Food and people both are amazing!!! Every dish I've tried here so far has turned out to be spectacular. A definite must try.
Saw this recommendation on tik tok and it was my first time having Malaysian food. It was so so so good and the roti curry was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not a huge curry fan because sometimes it is too overpowering or too sweet for me, depending on the place. But this makes me super excited to come back to try the laksa! There's no ac but quite a few fans, I suggest coming later in the day if you're sensitive to heat. Also cash only!
Satay was outstanding. Nasi lemak was a tad sweet. Don't know why.
Kancung belachan was tasty but veggies need to be tender.
